Another weekend brings another 12u championship. After trailing late in the game, the Powerballers continued to fight until the very end thanks to a little extra motivation from Jim Stocklas, better known as The GM,
“After a lackluster 5 innings of play I felt I had to raise the tone of my message to the team and apparently the message was heard loud and clear We rallied from a 4 run deficit to walk off with a 5 run bottom of the 6th , snatching the defeat out of the devils hand and into the hands of champions. Oh did I mention, we were Longacres Dairy's best customer that day.”
The approach has been simple, keep your focus middle of the field and that is exactly what Clemente did with two strikes to send a base hit to center field. This plated the runs needed to take home the win and another tournament championship!
