What a way to start our 2022 Fall Season!

Our newest team to our organization came in with a bang. They started the weekend off with a convincing victory for their first win as a Powerballer team and had their sights set for game two. Game two had a great match against the Jersey Storm squad who this team has battled with for a while. The Powerballers took a 2-0 lead in the first to find themselves tied 3-3 in the fifth inning of the impressive battle of these top teams. That set the stage for the bottom of the 6th. Kuff walked to start the inning and then stole second on the next pitch to force Jersey Storm to walk the next two batters to load the bases. The Powerballers 4 hole hitter stepped up to the plate to have a chance to seal the deal for his team. Perreault wasted no time and jumped on the first pitch.. Crack.. the crowd is heard by the 18u team playing a game in the middle of the complex. A Grand Slam Walk Off !!! What a way to start the season and what a fun team this is going to be for our Powerballaers Family to watch. The 12u team went on to play Diamond Nations two teams the Gold in the semifinals and their Super team in the finals to come home with the championship for their first tournament win. That's Powerballin!! Great Job Coach Bob and Coach Kash!!

Our 13u team had a rough outing out in Palmyra for a Perfect Game tournament going 0-3 on the weekend. Jumping to the big field showed some struggles for the team but Coach Martino will make sure they progress their passion and get back on track this week at ECTB.

Our 15u Team was also in the Perfect Game in Palmyra as they had a great start to their season going 2-0 on Saturday. They faced a good team on Sunday fall 3-0 to them but with all things considered competing with a team that pulls players from state instead of the area I would consider that a nice win for our program. Great job Coach Patch.

Our 16u team played at ECTB this weekend and they started out their Saturday with a 2-0 record setting them up nicely for the Sunday. Coach Wodz's team came ready to compete for the championship but they ran into a couple of miscues that had them thinking what could have been. I know they will be back in that position soon and next time I believe they will overcome the obstacle that tripped them up this past weekend. Coach Wodz makes practice plans that help progress the ballplayers' passion and we can see it at practice this week.

Our 17u and 18u teams both played in showcases this past weekend. Our 17u team played at DeSales University and our 18u team played at Diamond Nation. Both teams showed very well to the college coaches and a lot of them have set themselves up to start conversations with the coaches in attendance. We are proud to have great coaches in Coach Mike Patch and Coach Del Rosso lead the teams in the position to have the opportunity that only 9 percent of high school players get.

We are all very proud of our coaches and players for the way they competed this past weekend and how they are competing at practice. We are excited for a very bright future with our Powerballers Family!!
